Inspection & Traceability

Inspection methods selected according to drawing characteristics and service risk.

HexagonCMM system
MitutoyoCMM system
PT + UTNDT methods
Traceable IDcomponent / lot identification capability

Inspection resources

Our inspection resources include Hexagon and Mitutoyo CMMs, spectrometer, ferrite measurement, Brinell and Rockwell hardness and roughness measurement. Project test routes can also include tensile or impact testing, penetrant testing, ultrasonic examination and radiographic examination where the governing specification and geometry make those methods appropriate. Corrosion or other specialist testing is coordinated to the agreed requirement.

Traceability

Investment-cast and machined components can be supplied with traceable identification. The required level of heat, batch, operation and report traceability should be stated in the RFQ so identification and document flow can be planned from the start.

Inspection planning by feature

  • CMM for datum-related geometry and complex profiles
  • Dedicated gauges for repeated production checks
  • Surface-roughness measurement for functional or hygienic surfaces
  • Material verification and mechanical testing according to the purchase specification
  • NDT according to risk, geometry and acceptance standard
  • Pressure testing for finished boundary components

Start with the drawing

Send the alloy, annual quantity and critical requirements.

Email is the fastest route for drawings and 3D files. The short form is available when email is inconvenient.

For the fastest drawing review, include:
  • 2D drawing / 3D file and revision
  • Material grade or service environment
  • Annual quantity or expected lot size
  • Critical tolerances, finish, inspection or pressure-test requirements

For drawings and 3D files, use direct email. info@chinaprecisionmetal.com.
