Quality planning starts with the drawing and risk
The control plan is built around material, critical dimensions, pressure boundaries, surface condition, assembly requirements and service risk. Incoming material, casting, heat treatment, machining, finishing, assembly and final inspection are linked through defined responsibilities and acceptance criteria.
Certificates and qualification documents
The certificate records below show the certificate number, dates and scope printed on each document. Certification status can change over time, so buyers who need the latest applicable certificate set should request it during qualification or RFQ review.
Process-control principles
- Verify material and heat identity before downstream value is added
- Inspect casting conditions that could be hidden by machining
- Establish machining datums and critical-feature relationships
- Protect sealing, fit and cosmetic surfaces through handling and cleaning
- Verify assembly interfaces and specified functional checks
- Perform pressure or leak testing at the correct production stage
- Retain the requested lot, inspection and report records
PPAP and process capability
For programs that require formal production approval, PPAP documentation can be prepared to the customer-specified submission level and linked to the released drawing, process route and inspection plan. The agreed scope may include dimensional results, material and performance records, process-flow and control-plan evidence, and sample-part records.
For agreed critical characteristics, Cpk or Ppk studies can be used to demonstrate process capability after the process and measurement method are stable. Sample size, study method and acceptance criteria are defined by the customer or project rather than assumed as one universal target.
